In 2010 this work included working with the management group to develop a constitution using a consultative, interactive and bottom up approach. The group also participated in training with Foróige to further develop their child protection policies for working with young children and teenagers and all members of the group have undergone the necessary Garda Clearance procedures. The group developed a number of funding proposals and have explored how to expand the group in the future and have resourced furniture and offi ce equipment to enable the activities of the group to run smoothly. The group hosted a SECAD Employment and Training information day in June 2011, which enabled individuals in the Passage West area to access supports within their own community. The result of the LCDP funded support to the group is that the management has been strengthened and now has a clear guiding document in the form of their constitution which details the aims which the group has under the headings of management committee, area enhancement, families, education, meeting facilities and new groups.
