COBH CATHEDRAL LIGHTING
This project was developed in tandem with Cobh Tourism. SECAD provided investment to allow for low energy lighting to be uses to illuminate this iconic cathedral.
TRACTON ARTS AND COMNUNITY CENTRE
SECAD provided funding to the Knocknamanagh old school renovation project, which resulted in a community exhibition centre co-ordinated by Lisa Rauch. It is now a community centre, which provides exhibition space, theatre and activity areas.
CARRIGALINE ACTIVE RETIRED
Installation of outdoor exercise equipment promoting physical activity in adults particularly older adults living within Carrigaline. SECAD was delighted to support this project in 2011.
TÚS EMPLOYMENT SCHEME
SECAD commenced the Tús Community Employment Initiative in July 2011 and steadily expanded it since then. The Tús initiative is a community work placement scheme providing short-term working opportunities for unemployed people. CARRIGTWOHILL COMMUNITY COUNCIL
The council was established to promote and operate a community development programme, which acts as a focus and catalyst for community development for the community.
KNOCKNAMANAGH COMMUNITY CENTRE AND THEATRE
Through the work of the Tracton Community Council the building was restored in 2008 with a view to developing a community facility on the site to cater for the 3000 people in the locality.
HISTORIC GRAVES
20,000 grave memorial records from 127 historic graveyards were digitally submitted to Cork County Library by the Historic Graves project.
TRAMORE VALLEY PARK
SECAD is supporting Grange Frankfield Partnership by supplying a 12 month work team for an important section of this amenity.
