1. Title of course: Accessing Services Using Your Computer

Description of Course: This course will teach you how to:

Turn on your computer, use a mouse, use a Keyboard, use the internet, use email, shop online, online travel, use Skype, use social networking


 

2. Title of Course: Time to Change

Description of Course: The course will include the following:

Identifying skills and resources of each participant

Building self confidence, personal responsibility and individual power, helping participants to identify areas for development, helping participants to set a training or opportunities route for themselves, exploring participant’s vision for their lives, helping participants develop their own goals, helping participants to reach those goals


 

3. Title of Course: Accessing Education & Training Sites On Line

Description of Course: This course will teach you to:

access training and education opportunities using IT, help you to improve your basic IT skills, guide you to compose a cover letter and CV, guide you in getting your CV and job applications onto relevant online job and recruitment websites/


4. Title of Course: Sports Development

Description of Course: This course is a part time course that examines the fundamentals of developing sports and physical activity programmes and clubs within the community for different ages and levels of ability. There are six modules which cover the following areas:

active leadership, games for all, codes of ethics, personal development, participation in your community, CV and Interview skills.


5. Title of course: Towards Occupation

Description of Course: Towards Occupation is a unique programme designed for those that are distant from the labour market as a result of a set back in their lives from which they have not yet fully recovered. It is a free and confidential service. Its aims are to provide training and guidance to support participants through the discovery of their personal occupational requirements. This will include one to one support, group participation, individual and group training, progression opportunities and literacy support.


6. Title of Course: First Cut Youth Film Making

Description of Course: This course introduces young people to the craft of film making and enables them to express their creativity through the medium of film. Training is provided by the Cork Film Centre through workshops which are facilitated locally by schools and youth groups.
