Creating A Pop Up Exhibition or Temporary Museum in A Vacant Retail Location, Kilkenny 3/4 December

The purpose of the course is teach members of the community how to conceive, design and run a temporary exhibition or town museum in an unused town centre space. Topics to be covered during the two days include:

  • creating a coherent vision
  • deciding on your audience
  • establishing themes
  • choosing which media to use
  • designing on a budget
  • writing for your audience
  • choosing and preparing your location
  • working with the community
  • building your exhibition
  • outreach and promotion
  • marketing
  • funding
