Call for Expression of Interest forms by 15th September for upcoming community projects

SECAD is inviting Expression of Interest forms for community groups thinking of applying for Rural Development funding, The form is attached below and groups should complete this and return it to SECAD by 15th September. Completion of this form does not constitute a formal application for funding or commit your group to making a full application, but will enable the staff and board of SECAD to plan for the proposed applications. Groups should complete this form if They have spoken to staff at SECAD about initial project ideas but have not yet made a formal application for RDP funding They have an idea for a project which could be carried out before 2013 and which may require RDP funding, but you have not yet spoken to SECAD about this project If your group is unsure whether you should complete the form, please contact me on 021 4613432 or email.. SECAD bursaries for Diploma in Rural Development

Please find attached information on the NUI Diploma in Rural Development which will commence its two year programme in October 2010. This course is delivered by distance learning and is aimed at staff or volunteers working in the area of Rural Development. The cost of the course is approximately €3,910. The board of South and East Cork Area Development (SECAD) has agreed to fund up to four eligible participants through the Rural Development Programme 2007-2013. If you are interested in this course, please read the attached information and submit the application form directly to Dr Mary O’Shaughnessy at UCC. Participants from the SECAD area should contact SECAD by Friday 10th September to be considered for the SECAD bursaries.
