Invitation to ESRI workshop on valuing community development

Workshop for Community Groups – Tuesday, November 28t2.00- 5.00pm

Have your Say in Measuring Community Development & Community Wellbeing

The Economic Social Research Institute (ESRI) are currently involved in a project entitled “Valuing Community Development through the SICAP programme”.  As part of this project they are holding a series of half-day consultation workshops involving Local Community Groups. The workshop will involve a discussion of how best to capture community development activities and whether community development and community well-being can or should be measured.

The main purpose of the workshop is to obtain the views of Local Community Groups on a range of themes, including:

  • suggested key indicators of community development and community well-being
  • the feasibility of indicators emerging from desk-based research in an Irish context
  • the extent to which  the concept of community development and community well-being could or should be measured

ESRI would be delighted if you could accept this invitation to attend the Workshop at SECAD Offices, Midleton Community Enterprise Centre. Please confirm your attendance to ( . You can also contact Toni McCaul at SECAD ( if you have questions.
