Mogeely Playground

Mogeely Playground

an image of a group of people gathered at the mogeely community playgroundThe Mogeely Community playground Committee is a subgroup of the  Mogeely Development  ssociation which was formed in March 2007 with the objective of providing a playground for Mogeely and it’s environs in light of recent population increases and the lack of amenities for children under the age of twelve. The proposed playground will also cater for children with special needs. The group worked with Cork County Council to gain permission to build a playground on their land at a central located in the centre of the village adjacent to other amenities in the area. With the assistance of Clann Credo who provided bridging finance, the group  successfully drew down an RDP grant of €92,089 towards the cost of building a state of the art playground which benefits the local community and the surrounding areas.
