Maintaining Active Development Groups

SECAD Programmes

South and East Cork Area Development (SECAD) Limited is one of the most experienced and active Local Development Groups operating in the country.

Since its formation in 1995 it has integrated the investment of the LEADER and LEADER Type Programmes with the delivery of the Local Development Social Inclusion Programmes (LDSIP) and now the Local Community Development Programme (LCDP).

SECAD has been a platform for a variety of local, regional and national initiatives over the years (e.g. Millennium Partnership Fund, Back to Education Initiative, Equality Programmes and the Rural Social Scheme, Tús Scheme and Equality for Women Measure).

SECAD has also been involved in the successful deliver of a major INTERREG Programme with partners in Ireland, Germany and Scotland.

A list of programmes currently being run by SECAD are on the right hand side of this page. Please click on the one you are interested in for more detailed information.
