Research Project managed by Fota Wildlife Park & Biological, Earth & Environmental Sciences, UCC
The All Ireland Ladybird Survey is on!
Participants are needed to survey 5 trees for 5 minutes each. Then count how many ladybirds you see and document them
with pictures.
Then, record your data, photos, and location in the ‘Irish Ladybird Survey’ app, which is available for free here: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ie.ucc.bis.is4447.ladybird1&hl=en.
For every 5 trees you survey, you’ll be entered into
a prize draw for a family pass to Fota Wildlife Park.
Your data will help the researchers to better understand the statusand distribution of ladybirds in Ireland, while improving the understanding of the threats caused by invasive species.
