Employer Engagement

Building business employer connections

SECAD has built a positive record of employer engagement across programmes in enterprise, employment and environment.

Specifically, SECAD has strengthened its links with the business community in order to be a more valuable and supportive link – guiding people into employment, towards the workplace and suitable employers.

As part of upskilling programmes for jobseekers, SECAD integrates visits to real workplaces and presentations by employers as a practical element of programmes.

In autumn 2018, SECAD will host an Employment Marketplace event whereby local employers and jobseekers will come together to learn more about local businesses,  jobs on offer and career development.  This event will provide a vital link between local employers and those seeking local and sustainable employment.
