Pathways to work, learning & community engagement
SECAD Partnership offers a number of programmes that help people to access work, training, or education.

- SICAP Employment Supports – free monthly workshops and one-to-one sessions across
Youghal, Midleton, Cobh, Millstreet, Carrigaline, and Macroom, offering confidential
guidance, CV preparation, and interview skills. Tailored for people facing barriers to
employment. - Local Area Employment Services (LAES) – a 52-week structured programme supporting
jobseekers on social welfare to progress into work or full-time education. - Tús Initiative – short-term community work placements for unemployed people, providing
valuable experience while supporting community and voluntary groups. - Rural Social Scheme (RSS) – part-time work placements for low-income farmers and
fishers, helping them maintain their livelihoods while contributing to local community
projects. - WorkAbility Programme – pathways into work for people with disabilities through training,
skills development, and tailored support, working closely with employers to build inclusive
workplaces.

SECAD’s integrated supports empower people to access lasting employment and contribute to
their communities.
