What you will learn
Our Employment Support team will give you practical tips and help you prepare for your next interview. You will learn how to:
- Prepare for common interview questions
- Make a good first impression
- Talk about your skills and experience
- Answer difficult questions with confidence
- Use good body language and communication
- Prepare for online and face-to-face interviews
You will also learn how to use the STAR method to answer questions about your skills and experience, what questions to ask an employer, and what to do after an interview.
You can also get one-to-one support
As part of the workshop, you will have the chance to speak privately with a SECAD Employment Support Officer.
You can ask questions, talk about your job search and get advice about your next steps.
You will also have the opportunity to register for a range of free courses, including Safe Pass, Manual Handling, HACCP, Retail Skills, Enterprise Skills, and more.

Are you eligible for our free supports?
Our workshops and employment supports are free and supported through the SICAP Programme. Our free services designed to support individuals in rural Cork communities who face challenges in securing sustainable employment. You may be eligible for our free supports if you are:
- Refugees, people seeking protection in Ireland
- Low-income or underemployed
- Long-term unemployed (over 12 months)
- From low-income households
- Single parents and carers
- People out of work through illness and/or limited abilities
