- [Local Community Development Committee (LCDC); South & West Cork](https://www.secad.ie/collaborations/local-community-development-committee-lcdc-south-west-cork/): SECAD Partnership serves as a local community development representative on both the South Cork and West Cork Local Community Development Committees, established by Cork County Council under the Local Government Reform Act 2014. - [LEADER Transnational Programme](https://www.secad.ie/collaborations/leader-transnational-programme/): SECAD Partnership is collaborating with the agri-tourism sector in Austria. The focus for a recent Austrian delegation visit to SECAD Partnership was also to encourage Austrian farmers to work with their local development groups and to encourage farmers to become sellers and not just producers of food. The exchange of information is mutually beneficial for SECAD and the visiting delegation. Further means to develop a more formal transnational exchange are currently being explored.

- [The European Innovation Partnership project “Arable Coast Environment” (ACE EIP)](https://www.secad.ie/what-we-do/ace-eip/): Welcome to the Arable Coast Environment (ACE) European Innovation Partnership (EIP) project. The ACE EIP is a four-year project that brings together farmers, landowners, local communities, scientists, ecologists, industry, and educators to trial innovative solutions that improve biodiversity in ways that also support farm productivity and value.Stretching from Kinsale, Co. Cork, to the Wexford Wildfowl Reserve, north of Wexford town, ACE EIP is aiming to improve habitats for some of Ireland’s most threatened farmland bird species, while also supporting healthier soils, improved water quality and stronger biodiversity across the wider landscape. At the heart of the project is the protection of the Hen Harrier and other birds of conservation concern, including Yellowhammer, Skylark, Barn Owl and Meadow Pipit.

Tourism is boosted by the region’s close proximity to traditionally strong tourism routes and a ready market of over one million people, nearby access to an airport and ferry port as well as a growing cruise-liner business.

- [North Connacht 110 kV Project](https://www.secad.ie/what-we-do/north-connacht-110-kv-project/): As part of its work to achieve this, a key grid development project is due to commence construction in parts of the North Connacht area in late 2025. The North Connacht 110 kV Project will add a new line to the electricity grid in Co. Mayo and Co. Roscommon which will strengthen the grid in Connacht.
