SECAD Partnership celebrates Community Award win at Cork Business Awards 2017

SECAD Partnership were delighted to scoop a ‘Cork Community Project of the Year’ Award at the Cork Business Awards 2017 which took place on Saturday last at The Convention Centre of the Clayton Hotel Silver Springs. In its eleventh year, the Business Cork awards nominated organisations across a number of sectors doing business in Cork city and county.  The awards set about to recognise businesses and to sustain a positive and future focussed business environment in Cork.

SECAD Partnership has over twenty years’ experience of bottom-up local development in the community. On receiving the Community Award, Ryan Howard CEO of SECAD Partnership said,  ‘’these awards are an excellent way to recognise the people, communities,  businesses and organisations that have made a meaningful contribution to their organisation and in turn, to Cork and beyond.

This award encourages SECAD Partnership to keep up the good work  of engagement and partnership with businesses and employers who are critical to our work. A key current project includes Wild Work – a SECAD initiative connecting business, biodiversity and local communities.’’

Specifically, Wild Work is currently seeking businesses to partner with in the delivery of Wild Work’s Pollinator Project. SECAD Partnership with Wild Work are actively making connections with businesses to enable them to make a positive impact through working with nature and people in local communities.
