SECAD “30 Trees for 30 Years of Supporting Communities” journey continued to the beautiful village of Inchigeelagh. This time, we gathered to plant a native Irish oak—a tree synonymous with strength, endurance, and deep-reaching roots.
The morning was a celebration of both the past and the future. While we marked 30 years of SECAD’s support for local communities, the spotlight was firmly on the next generation: the bright and enthusiastic pupils of Inchigeela National School.
Wild Work & Bright Futures
We were especially proud to highlight the Junior Wild Work project. Through this initiative, these students have stepped out of the classroom and into nature, learning firsthand about biodiversity and the vital importance of caring for their local environment.
It was a joy to see the boys and girls back in action. Their hands-on experience with outdoor activities has turned them into true stewards of the land. We have no doubt that as this oak tree grows tall in Inchigeelagh, these students will continue to be the guardians nature needs in the years to come.
A Growing Legacy
Thank you to the staff and students of Inchigeela National School for such a warm welcome and for your help in marking this milestone.
