SUPPORTING THE LOCAL COMMUNITY DURING THE COVID-19 CRISIS

While our physical office is closed to the public, we are open for business and busily adapting our services to meet the changing needs of individuals, businesses and communities in South and East Cork during this challenging time.

We know that many of the people we work with are struggling with the isolation, employment or other issues associated with the current restrictions. In order to provide support, our services are responding rapidly to current circumstances and all our teams are supporting individuals, businesses and community groups wherever needed.

SECAD operates a comprehensive range of employment and enterprise services, and community development programmes. Some of the ways we are currently providing support includes:

  • assistance with accessing social welfare payments;
  • job search services & employment supports in a rapidly changing labour market;
  • online health & well being sessions to support our communities;
  • a customised grant package for social enterprises working with the most vulnerable people;
  • and many other supports.

SECAD is also here to support businesses and organisations. While many businesses have had to shut down temporarily, others need to take on more staff. Through our employment services, we can help build businesses to access skilled and experienced people. In addition, many organisations and groups have an urgent need for volunteers and we can assist them to link in with the right people for these roles.

If we can help in any way, please call or email us at 021 4613432 or info@secad.ie
