Participants will be required to attend day 1 before progressing to day 2.

Instagram Module 1 

Objectives

This course will give all participants hands on experience using Instagram and enable each participant to decide how Instagram fits into their marketing plan.

Course Outcomes

At the end of the workshop(s) each participant will: 

  • Have set up an Instagram account in the Instagram app
  • Be aware of how to use Instagram effectively in their business
  • Know how to use all key features and tools 
  • Understand how Instagram differs to other social networking channels 
  • Know how to increase reach and engagement rates 

Course Outline

  • An introduction to Instagram and how it differs from other social networks 
  • Building a successful brand on Instagram using visual content 
  • Understanding Instagram’s newsfeed filter and how to ensure you are discoverable in search and visible in your follower’s newsfeed.
  • Features: a walk through all key Instagram features e.g. using image filters and editing tools, creating stories, sharing video etc.
  • Hashtags: understating the importance of using hashtags in Instagram and finding a list of 10 top hashtags for their industry
  • Case Studies – other businesses that are succeeding on Instagram

Instagram Module 2

Course Content

  • Creating an Instagram strategy and setting objectives, goals and KPI’s
  • Instagram insights- a walk around the key insights available within the app and other free or low-cost tools for analyzing engagement rates 
  • Influence marketing and how to leverage influencers to become influential 
  • Features: an introduction to advanced tools and features like creating highlights, creating highlight cover images, guides and Reels. 
  • Stories – how to use them successfully. Adding countdown timers, using hashtags effectively etc. 
  • Case Studies – other businesses that are succeeding on Instagram
  • Other apps: an introduction to complementary apps e.g. Wordswag & Unfold
